How to capture a file more than 8bit

For cameras that support more than 8bit, please set the camera bit depth to more than 8 bits (12 bits or 14 bits) first to capture a file with more than 8 bits. Check the Format dropdown box in “Capture & Resolution” group, you can find 3 options there, which are RGB24, RAW and RGB48. If you see only 2 options which are raw and RGB24 in more than 8bits mode, please ask for latest software.

RGB24 means RGB888 and you could only get an image with 8bits every channel. If you select RAW, 12bit (or 14bit) raw data will be transferred to 16bits raw data and saved in DNG file format. If you select RGB48, 36bits RGB data (every channel 12bit, 42bit RGB data with every channel 14bit) will be transferred to 48bit RGB data and saved in Tiff file format.
